If you are a parent, you may wonder when you can fit in a workout when you have kids! Luckily, there are many ways to get your body in shape while watching your kids play!
Now that my kids can play at the park without my following their every move, I have incorporated working out while they are playing. While I may look a little strange to others, I know that I am using my time wisely!
Our favorite trainer and a family friend since childhood, Abby Malmstrom from Trainer In Your Back Pocket® has a great video of workouts you can do while you are at the park!
Abby also incorporated a little more cardio for an extra challenge!
Along with many of these moves that Abby shows above, I also do lunges around the park, side squats, low squats and sometimes jog around the park, depending on how big the park is. Bike riding to parks is also wonderful!
Having a little preparation, a few minutes of “quiet time” at the park and the desire to get in shape can make working out, even with kids, a possibility!
Just remember, bring water for you and your children, sunscreen and lots of fun toys! Bring along another mom friend with other kids to keep you on track and keep your kids entertained. A playdate and working out combines can make for great friendships as well!
Make sure you check out Abby from Trainer in your Back Pocket® for great training, nutrition and more-even when you are on the go!
